Die romantische Komödie WIE BEIM ERSTEN MAL, in der die beiden Oscar-Gewinner Meryl Streep und Tommy Lee Jones erstmals gemeinsam auf der großen Leinwand spielen, ist nicht nur von den US-Kritikern mit größtem Lob überhäuft worden, sondern auch gegen größtmögliche Blockbuster-Konkurrenz in gut 2.300 Kinos mit einem Einspielergebnis von $20.1 Millionen auf Platz 3 gestartet. Der Film, den viele Filmkritiker als Überraschung des diesjährigen Kinosommers feiern, wird nach Überzeugung der Branchenbeobachter ein Langläufer werden. Mit diesen Zahlen liegt der Film zwischen den Startergebnissen der Vergleichsfilme "Was das Herz begehrt" ($16 Mio. / deutsches Gesamtergebnis: 3 Mio. Über den Film:

Seit 30 Jahren sind Kay (Meryl Streep) und Arnold Soames (Tommy Lee Jones) verheiratet. Wie viele andere Paare haben die beiden sich im Laufe ihrer Ehe so sehr aneinander gewöhnt, dass mittlerweile jeder Tag einer fast choreographiert wirkenden Routine folgt. Die Kinder sind längst aus dem Haus und zum Hochzeitstag schenkt man sich Praktisches. Doch insgeheim sehnt sich Kay nach mehr. Ein wenig Liebe, vielleicht ab und zu sogar Leidenschaft. Arnold dagegen will einfach seine Ruhe...
